I would not describe myself as a hippie or tree hugger. However, I think it is very important for us to be aware of the way we live, and understand how it affects our community and planet. I believe that the more information we have, the easier it is to make behavior changes that are positive. When it comes to trying to live a “greener” life, where better to start then within our own home?
If you’ve ever had the following thoughts, this section of my site is a great place to visit….
-“What the heck is radiant barrier? Must be something associated with NASA.”
-“I don’t even know if my neighborhood has a recycle pickup day.”
-“My friend’s electric bill is half what mine is. How is that possible?!?”
-“I heard that weird couple at the end of the street is “off the grid.” I bet their kids end up totally screwed up.”
Green living is something that is always changing. As technology and science move us closer and closer to a way of living that minimally impacts the earth, I believe it is our responsibility to educate ourselves about new practices and products that are available to us. My goal for this portion of my site is to make that process a little easier for you. There is a lot of information out there and sometimes it’s hard to clearly see the benefits. And it’s not all about making Mother Earth smile. It doesn’t hurt that living a greener life often saves you money, enhances the energy efficiency of your home, and increases its resale value!
